There was a crime spree in Waverly early Saturday morning.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner reports that at 2:41 a.m., vandals broke the window of a county owned pickup that was parked at 145th and Bailie Street. Vests, hard hats, winter gloves and a coat were taken.

At 2:58 a.m., a woman called the Sheriff’s Office to report that her husband’s 2011 Toyota Tundra vehicle had been taken from the driveway in the 101st block of North 149th Street. The keys had been left inside and the vehicle was not locked. The vehicle’s license plate is WWI-421.  That vehicle remains missing.

A short time later, a man living in the 9500 block of North 147th Place noticed a Ford pickup in the street. An unknown person had thrown something into the bed, got back inside and took off. The man then noticed his pickup had been entered and he saw a man walking away.  That led to a confrontation and a fight.

While the two men were fighting, the Ford pickup returned and the driver got out and started assaulting the victim by kicking him in the face. The man returned to the pickup and took off.

A man visiting the victim then saw his vehicle had been broken into and $1,500 in golf clubs were missing.

The investigations continue. If anyone has video security evidence or discover they were victims to call the Sheriff’s Office.
