Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says deputies arrested a York man after getting a call from a resident at a home southwest of Bennett New year’s Eve.
“Driving in the yard ramming trees and then the truck drove toward the resident,” Wagner says. “Then the driver turned around and struck a Norris Public Power guy wire. Wagner says the the pickup then caught fire and 67 year old Monte Robinson got out with a shotgun and threatened the resident.
Wagner says when they got there Robinson wouldn’t drop the weapon. They deployed a 40 mm foam rubber projectile that incapacitated Robinson and they were able to place him into custody.
Robinson was transported to Bryan Health and then booked for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony
