A signature win for Nebraska women’s basketball.
That was all that was missing on the season so far after a 12-0 start, and it came Tuesday night at home with a top-10 victory.
The Huskers, fresh off their first loss of the season, upset No. 8 Michigan 79-58 to improve to 13-1 on the year and beat their first AP top-10 opponent since 2014.
Four Huskers scored in double-figures, led by Alexis Markowski’s 20 points. It was the first-career start for Markowski, who also grabbed seven rebounds.
Jaz Shelley added her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Nebraska stays home Sunday to host No. 22 Iowa.
