The Nebraska State Patrol and the Nebraska Department of Transportation issued a joint news release Friday urging extreme caution if you plan on any type of travel New Year’s Day.
Heavy snow with gusty high winds will cause visibility issues as well as blowing and drifting snow on roadways. Bitterly cold temperatures are also expected with Wind Chills of -20 or lower possible.
The release includes tips on driving around or near snow plows, precuations should travel be absolutely necessary and more.
