Lincoln Police say 16 pistols were stolen from a home near 18th and Superior while the owner and his family were out of town over the Thanksgiving holiday.
When they returned the man found his back door was ajar, but Vigil says he did not think that was notable at the time. “He didn’t take an inventory of his house until yesterday when he started looking for the guns and realized 16 of them were gone.”
The total estimated value of the guns is $16,000. Responding officers processed the scene for evidence. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
