Lincoln Police say a man was hit by a car after asking the driver for a ride. It happened around 3:45 Monday afternoon in the 2600 block of S. 48th Street.
“At some point during that conversation it turned into an argument,” says assistant chief Mischon Morrow. “The victim ended up running away from the vehicle and the vehicle gave chase and eventually struck the victim intentionally.”
Morrow says the 58 year victim suffered a knee injury and went to a nearby fast food restaurant for help. Morrow says they are looking for a white sedan with possible California plates. They are checking with area businesses for video evidence.
