The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department held its first COVID-19 vaccination clinic on December 16, 2020. Since then, more than 406,000 doses have been administered and almost 203,000 residents, or just over 63% of the entire county population, has been fully vaccinated.
“We continue to make steady progress in our vaccination efforts. I want to thank Lancaster County residents for stepping up and rolling up their sleeves to get vaccinated,” Health Director Pat Lopez says.
Everyone 5 years old and older can get vaccinated against COVID-19 and everyone 16 years old and older can get a booster dose. “With every person who gets vaccinated or boosted, protection against the virus is strengthened. This will better position us as individuals and as a community for what may come in the weeks and months ahead,” Lopez says.
