An arrest is made in the vandalism of City Laundry at 1143 Cornhusker Highway on Monday, December 6th. A man was seen on security video entering the business between 9 and 10 p.m. A cleaning crew arrived to find damage and called the owner. A bathroom sink was pulled from the wall and doors, a TV and tables were damaged. The estimated damage to property totaled $1,200.
On December 7th, the owner called police around 10 a.m. saying he saw the suspect in the area. Officers found 30 year old Derek Loos and were able to identify him as the person who vandalized the business.
Loos had one outstanding warrant for theft and one felony warrant for narcotics. He was taken into custody on the warrants. Loos was cited for misdemeanor criminal mischief related to the laundromat vandalism.
