The Capital Humane Society is now using a new online system for adopting pets. Shelby Backus is the Director of Operations at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center and tells KLIN News potential pet owners will need to join a virtual line thorough Qless.
“It’s kind of similar to what restaurants use in terms of just keeping in a virtual line,” Backus says. She says people can fill out a small form online to get the process started.
To join the virtual line click HERE. Once a customer is in the virtual line, Backus says customers will be informed about the estimated wait time. “Then when we’re ready for them we’ll send them a text message and they can come to our facility and interact with a pet to adopt.”
She says the new system provides better customer service by not having people wait for long periods of time in their lobby. She says it also allows them to have the appropriate number of customers per staff each day.
The Pieloch Pet Adoption Center hours are Tuesday-Friday from 11:30 am-7:30 pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 am-5:30 pm. You can call (402) 441-4488 Ext. 1 with any questions.
