A 45 year old Lincoln man is facing several charges after an investigation by Lincoln Police.
On September 7th, LPD officers were contacted by an Lincoln Public Schools counselor to report an 11 year old student had reported being sexually assaulted. LPD’s Special Victims Unit worked with the Child Advocacy Center and spoke with the victim. The child reported being sexually assaulted on a number of occasions by Tony Dao about two years prior. Dao was a former family acquaintance.
Investigators gathered enough information to develop probable cause to arrest Dao. On November 9th at 10:30 a.m., Dao was taken into custody in the 1200 block of W Commerce Way. He was booked for 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault and felony Child Abuse.
