Governor Pete Ricketts and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced that coronavirus hospitalizations in Nebraska have risen above 10% of statewide hospital bed capacity (7-day rolling average). In keeping with previously announced policy, updates to the Nebraska Hospital Capacity & Respiratory Illness Dashboard will return to a daily (weekday) schedule as long as COVID-19 hospitalizations remain above the 10% capacity threshold.
Daily COVID-19 data will be reported beginning Monday afternoon, November 8, 2021. The Dashboard will also resume the display of demographic data and county-specific statistics. To temporarily allow the display of additional COVID-19 data, Governor Ricketts issued Executive Order 21-17.
DHHS has also added two additional tabs to the dashboard with data on Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Influenza A and B virus in Nebraska. Data include influenza and RSV test results that are reported by Electronic Laboratory Report (ELR) for years 2020 and 2021. Test results are reported on a weekly basis and may differ slightly from day to day or may change for prior days as public health investigations identify new information. Variants of Concern and Vaccine Breakthrough metrics can still be accessed on the COVID-19 Weekly Data Update page. Data for COVID-19 Variants of Concern are reported by DHHS every Wednesday. Vaccine Breakthroughs are reported monthly for the previous calendar month.
