An LPD officer saw a Cadillac DTS make an improper turn around 10 p.m. Monday near 27th and O Street. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot and an officer spoke with the driver, 59 year old Marvin Maeweathers and a passenger, 40 year old Chrissy Davis.

The officer became suspicious of criminal activity and a police service dog was called to check the vehicle for narcotics. That was followed by a search and police found 0.9 grams of meth on Maeweathers. A bag belonging to Davis contained three plastic baggies containing a total weight of 2.4 grams of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia and 8 grams of marijuana.

Davis was booked for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Maeweathers was booked for possession of a controlled substance.
