Lincoln Police are investigating the City’s 7th murder of the year. LPD Assistant Chief Jason Stille says one of two Omaha men wounded in a shooting early Saturday while riding in a car on Highway 77 between Rosa Parks and West A Street has died.
“24 year old Goa Dat suffered multiple gunshot wounds and associated injuries to the neck and leg. He ultimately died on November 1,” Stille says. A 19 year old man who was also wounded remains in serious condition.
Stille says they do not believe the shooting was a random act and investigators are working on determining what led up to the shooting. He says they are trying to locate people that they believe witnessed the incident.
