Lincoln Police were called to S. 48th and Bancroft around 5 a.m. Sunday, October 31st to investigate a medical emergency call. They located an unresponsive man in the road.

CPR and other life saving measures were performed by officers until LFR arrived. The man was declared deceased at the scene.

Lincoln Police identified the victim as 60 year old Randy Turner of Lincoln. Police determined that Turner had been driving a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was northbound on S. 48th Street between Calvert and Bancroft Streets when he struck a curb. Turner lost control of the motorcycle, was thrown from the bike and landed on the road. The motorcycle continued southbound.

Turner was wearing a helmet. It is not known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident.
