Lincoln Police make an arrest dating back to September 18th, 2020. Police were called to 27th and South Street to investigate shots fired. A woman told police she was driving southbound when another vehicle pulled up beside her. A dark object was then pointed out the window of the other vehicle and she then heard gunshots. There were several bullet holes in the woman’s 2004 Cadillac Escalade that caused about $5,000 in damage.
At the time, officers processed the scene and spoke with witnesses.
Investigators determined that 31 year old Claytavius Wiley was responsible for firing those shots. Wiley is convicted felon and prohibited from having weapons.
On October 26th at 4 p.m., Wiley was contacted while in the Lancaster County Jail where he was in custody on unrelated charges.
Wiley was arrested for discharge of a firearm at a vehicle, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
