The Nebraska State Patrol says two people were killed in a fiery crash on I-80 near Goehner late Tuesday morning. The patrol says two semi’s were involved in the crash around 11:15.
NSP spokesman Cody Thomas tells KLIN News an eastbound semi crossed the median and struck a westbound semi. Both drivers were killed in the crash. I-80 is still closed in the area and traffic is being detoured to Highway 34 from I-80 at Goehner.
Troopers continue to conduct rolling roadblocks to slow traffic and prevent secondary crashes. The investigation is ongoing.
