Three men, ages 16, 19 and 24 were inside their home in the 200 block of Eastridge Drive around 8:30 Monday morning when they heard glass breaking at the front door.
The 16 year old saw a man breaking the glass with a tool. The teen ran from the residence safely.
The 19 and 24 year old’s were in the basement and heard the intruder rummaging around rooms upstairs. Lincoln Police arrived within minutes and surrounded the house while the intruder was still inside. After several commands by police, 64 year old Frederick White walked out of the home and was safely taken into custody.
Inside the home, police found a backpack belonging to White that contained nearly $600 in coins and currency and three pocket knives. Those items belonged to the residents.
White was cited and booked for burglary.
