A 46 year old man is recovering after an assault around 1 a.m. on Sunday, October 17th. Lincoln Police were called to 48th and Briarpark Drive to investigate a robbery.
They man told police he was walking to a gas station when a pickup with three men inside stopped to offer him a ride. After he got into the vehicle and had been riding for some time, the men demanded money and then assaulted him. One of the men pulled out a knife and started the stabbing the man. They took his wallet and cell phone before the man was able to escape.
The victim was rushed to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his arms that were consistent with a knife attack. The victim did not know the suspects.
