Lincoln Police made an arrest in a case dating back to September 11th. Police were called to the EZ Go at 25th and O Street around 11 p.m. to clear their parking lot of loitering people and vehicles. Officers arrived to see a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle performing a burnout with a high rev engine. With the number of people gathered and the close proximity to the gas pumps, the officer tried to stop the motorcycle from revving the engine by turning on the overhead lights on the cruiser. The driver saw an officer had arrived and took off at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the motorcycle was then identified as 24 year old David Minchow and a local broadcast was issued for him.

On Thursday, October 14th around midnight, an officer spotted an improper registration on a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at 23rd and O Street. The officer contacted the driver, David Minchow. He was taken into custody for the burnout incident in September. Officers also searched the vehicle and found a 9mm handgun in the center console and 1 gram of marijuana resin.

Minchow was booked for felony flee to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.
