Lincoln Police have released the name of a 61 year old man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday night around 11 p.m. at 1st and Adams.
When police arrived, they located the driver, Kevin Ginger of Lincoln, unresponsive. Officers attempted life saving measures including CPR until medical units arrived and took over. Ginger was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officers interviewed witnesses and processed the scene for evidence.
Officers determined that Ginger was driving his 2009 black Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on N 1st Street. As the motorcycle approached the roundabout at Adams Street, it collided with the outside curb and the driver became separated from the motorcycle.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the timeline of events leading up to the accident and if alcohol or drugs were a factor. The driver was wearing a helmet.
