A 61 year old Lincoln man is dead after a motorcycle accident around 11 Monday night at 1st and Adams.  LPD says when officers arrived they located the driver, who was unresponsive at the scene.  Officers attempted life saving measures including CPR until medical units arrived and took over.

The man was transported to a local area hospital where he died from his injuries.   Investigators determined that man was driving his motorcycle southbound on N 1st Street.  As the motorcycle approached the roundabout at Adams Street, it collided with the outside curb and the man was thrown from the bike.

This investigation is ongoing to determine the timeline of events leading up to the accident and if alcohol or drugs were a factor.  The driver was wearing a helmet and no other vehicles were involved.     The man has  not been identified pending notification of relatives.
