A 20 year old Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he crashed a car crashed into a house in the 2000 Block of A street around 5 Sunday afternoon.
“The collision was significant enough that it caused the front porch and the overhang on the house to collapse to the ground,” LPD Captain Max Hubka tells KLIN News. Hubka says the driver, 20-year old Matthew Towne was not seriously injured but told police he had been huffing canned air while driving. “And he believed he had passed out as a result of his ingestion of the chemicals.”
Police say Towne got out of the car on his own and was not hurt. There were no injuries reported to anyone inside the house. Towne was charged with willful reckless driving and DUI-Drug 1st offense.
