A 27 year old Grand Island man is facing 1st degree sexual assault charges after an incident on September 23rd in the 1000 block of N 48th Street. Around 2 a.m. an 18 year old woman was asked by a friend to go to that address so she could meet someone she had been talking to online. When the women arrived at the home there were several men inside.
Police were notified when the victim went to a hospital for treatment. She told officers that 27 year old Victor Osuna-Veliz took her into a bedroom and sexually assaulted her.
After an investigation, Osuna-Veliz was taken into custody around 8 a.m. Thursday, September 30th at his place of employment at 7800 Thayer.
