LPD officers were called to the US Bank at 2640 Ticonderoga Drive around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, September 26th on a suspicious person near the ATM.
Officers saw a man standing by the ATM and the door was open. He ran when he saw officers who noticed he was carrying a bag. The man was taken into custody a short distance away. While on the run, he threw the bag on the ground and it was recovered. Inside were several documents that had been removed from the ATM but there was no cash inside.
The ATM door had been damaged to gain entry. The 25 year old man was arrested for misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
