A Lincoln North Star High School student is accused of scratching a racial slur into the paint of a car belonging to another student. The incident happened on Tuesday.
On Thursday LPD Officer Erin Spilker says the student who owns the car confronted the student she thought was responsible. “That owner thinks someone else did it, ends up spraying that student with pepper spray.” Spilker says the student who owns the vehicle was issued a juvenile referral for assault.
Police say the student who actually damaged the vehicle was located and issued a juvenile referral for the vandalism. The student who was sprayed did not need medical treatment.
