A 72 year old Plattsmouth man who was reported missing on September 4th was found dead after his SUV was pulled from the Missouri River.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says Adventures With Purpose, a company that assists families and law enforcement across the country in finding missing loved ones under water, used their sonar technology to locate the SUV about 500 yards south of the Plattsmouth boat dock on Tuesday.
The discovery was made after a search of various waterways in Cass County and Bellevue. Dive teams from Omaha and Yutan and a tow truck continued the operation and pulled the vehicle from the river Wednesday night and John Zarkowski was found dead inside.
