An arrest is made in the stabbing of a 20 year old man at 14th and C Street around 1 a.m. on August 30th.
Lincoln Police were able to speak with the victim after medical treatment. He told investigators he confronted 19 year old Ibsa Mohamed for taking his bicycle. The victim was punched in the face and stabbed in the back. He remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
At 9 a.m. on August 30th, officers were called to 10th and C Street to investigate a fight. They found Mohamed picking a lock of an apartment door that he did not have permission to enter. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and during a search, officers found a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue. He also had burglar’s tools.
After he was interviewed by investigators at the jail, Mohamed was arrested for 1st degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
