Investigators with the Lincoln – Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force saw a vehicle near 25th and Fairfield make several illegal turns around 10:30 Monday night. The vehicle pulled in to a parking lot at 32nd and Cornhusker and investigators spoke with the driver, a 38 year old man and a passenger, 36 year old Joanna Dawn.
There was an outstanding warrant Dawn’s arrest for possession of a controlled substance. Investigators then did a consent search of the vehicle and found 21.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine packaged in several baggies in Dawn’s purse that was on the passenger floor board. That has a street value of $2,000. They also found $1,200 in cash on Dawn.
Dawn was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of money while violating a drug law. The driver was not cited.
