Husker Football Game-Day Lineup Changes

By Kaleb Henry Aug 25, 2021 | 11:49 AM

With Nebraska football broadcasts in-house as the Husker Radio Network, most of the game will sound the same but some changes are being made for 2021.

The biggest change is the length of the broadcast. Husker fans have become accustomed to a five hour pregame with a few hours of postgame for Big Red Reaction. That changes this season.

Pregame will begin four hours before kickoff, as The Opening Drive show has been removed. Big Red Reaction is reduced to about an hour. The total broadcast has been cut from roughly 13 hours to 11 hours.

Here is how the full broadcast will break down:

Brenden Stai and Ben McLaughlin will take listeners through the first two hours with Husker Game Day. Then Countdown to Kickoff with Greg Sharpe, including an exclusive interview with head coach Scott Frost.

The game itself will feature Sharpe (Play-by-Play), Matt Davison (Analyst), and Jeremiah Sirles (Sideline).

Once the game ends, Sharpe will chat with Frost while Jessica Coody will report with interviews from the locker room. Approximately two hours after the game, Matt Coatney and Jay Foreman will handle Big Red Reaction.

Husker games can be heard in Lincoln on KLIN (1400 AM/99.3 FM) and on Froggy 98 (98.1 FM).
