Lincoln Police make two arrests in two robberies dating back to March.

On March 10th, around 9 p.m. officers were called to Woods Park. Three victims, a 19 year old male, a 17 year old female and an 18 year old male reported they arranged to meet someone who contacted them on Snapchat about a pair of shoes for sale. While waiting in the park, a vehicle pulled up and several males got out and walked to their vehicle. They opened the doors and assaulted the 19 year old and demanded money at gunpoint. One wallet containing cash was taken.

On May 6th, a 16 year old was selling vape items that were advertised on Snapchat. An arrangement was made to meet the buyers in the parking lot of Lincoln Northeast High School around 7:30 p.m. The victim reported that several males arrived in a vehicle, got out and approached him. He was assaulted and one pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

Both victims described the vehicle the suspects were in as a 2006 silver Volkswagen Jetta that was registered to a 16 year old male. Investigators looked at digital evidence and were able to identify another 17 year old male who appeared to have initiated the robbery.

On August 18th at 10 a.m. the 16 year old and the 17 year old suspects were located near 57th and Baldwin. The 16 year old was arrested for two counts of being an accessory to a felony as he was identified as the driver.

The 17 year old was arrested for 2 counts of robbery. He is the same teenager who was a gunman in the shooting of two outside the Edgewood Theater on August 2nd.

Both were booked into the Lancaster County Youth Services Center.
