A 25 year old man called police around 8 a.m. on August 18th to report the theft of his electronic wheel chair. He told police he parked the black motorized wheelchair on the sidewalk in front of the F Street Rec Center around 11:30 the night before. He returned the next morning to get it and the chair was missing.
Officers reviewed security video and saw a person riding the wheelchair away from the Rec Center heading east around 3:45 a.m.
Please call us if you see an abandoned wheelchair so officers can determine if this is the stolen wheelchair and return it to the owner. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600. The estimated cost of the wheelchair is around $1,000.
