Lincoln Family Displaced By Fire

By Tom Stanton Aug 17, 2021 | 2:51 PM

A family of five from Lincoln is getting help with temporary living arrangements after fire damaged their home Tuesday afternoon. The call came in around 12:30 for a report of a fire on a front porch of a home at 2244 Dudley, just north of Y Street.

“It looked like most of the fire had been extinguished on the porch,” Battalion Chief Jeremy Gegg told KLIN News at the scene. “However, the fire had spread into the walls of the house.  Our crews made entry and did find fire in the wall on a couple different floors.”

No one was hurt.  Four adults and one child who live there are now getting assistance from the Red Cross.  The cause of the fire is not yet known.
