A 19 year old Lincoln man is facing assault on an officer and other charges after a disturbance just after midnight on Thursday, August 12th.

A woman living in the 5100 block of West Hughes Street called police for help after 19 year old Stephen Bramhall was asked to leave but refused. He didn’t go quietly when officers arrived. When they started helping him out of the home an 18 year old female resident tried to block officers from doing so. Bramhall struggled with officers and when they were putting him in the cruiser he kicked at both officers hitting one in the knee.

When they arrived at the jail, Bramhall was kicking the interior of the cruiser and again struggled with officers. At least one corrections officer was kicked in the leg.

Bramhall was booked on two counts of assault on an officer, trespassing resisting arrest and a minor in possession of alcohol. The 18 year old female was booked for disturbing the peace, minor in possession of alcohol and obstructing a police officer.
