Another big event is headed to Lincoln. USA Wrestling announce Wednesday that the 2021 Senior World Team Trials will be held at the Pinnacle Bank Arena September 11-12.
The event will determine the U.S. team that will compete in the 2021 Senior World Championships set for Oslo, Norway, October 2-10. The World Championships will feature the 10 World Championship weight classes in all three of the disciplines, men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and Greco-Roman.
Depending on the results from the Olympic Games in Tokyo and based upon the decision of Olympic medalists whether they choose to compete at the Senior World Championships, there could be some weight classes which are not contested in Lincoln.

Coming right after the spectacle that is the Tokyo Summer Olympics, we are honored that USA Wrestling is bringing this prestigious two-day, four-session event to Nebraska’s Capitol City,” says Tom Lorenz, General Manager of the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
