Woman Delivering Pizza Says Her Life Was Threatened

By Tom Stanton Jul 30, 2021 | 12:04 PM

An investigation is underway after a female employee of Boss’ Pizza said her life was threatened while making a delivery to a motel early Friday morning.

Officer Erin Spilker says they were called to the restaurant near 11th and Cornhusker around 2 a.m.  The woman told officers she delivered pizza to the nearby EconoLodge. “When she contacted the recipients, which was two men, they became upset over her not having the correct change,” Spilker says.  “The victim reported one of the men showed a handgun and threatened to killer her.”

Officers acquired a search warrant and requested the assistance of the SWAT team due to the threat of weapons. The two men and two women were contacted in the hotel room taken into custody without incident.  All of them have been interviewed.  Police did not find a gun in the hotel and there was not enough evidence to make an arrest.

The investigation is continuing.
