Catalytic Converters, Gun Stolen Near Lincoln

By Tom Stanton Jul 30, 2021 | 12:34 PM

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department says a man who was out of town for several days returned to find about $5,600 worth of property had been stolen.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says seven catalytic converters were stolen from the man’s property at 1100 West Saltillo Road between July 23-28.  Wagner says the thefts were not connected to the ones at the South Beltway construction site.  Several catalytic converters were taken from trucks parked at the site.

In addition to the seven converters, three toolboxes and a Ruger handgun were stolen from older cars the victim had parked on his property.

The homeowner, who Wagner said had several vehicles stored on his property, told the sheriff’s office the thefts happened sometime while he was out of town from July 23 to July 28. The converters, toolboxes and Ruger handgun were worth about $5,600, Wagner said.

There are no suspects in the thefts.
