The Nebraska Department of Transportation reports that weather permitting, a fog seal project will begin August 5th on I-180. A fog seal seal is oil sprayed onto the surface of a newer road to seal the fine cracks.
State maintenance crews will apply the fog sealing from reference post 0 to post 2 The work should take one night and the road will be closed in both directions from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Drivers are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, buckle up, and put phones down.
