Lincoln Police are investigating after the theft of thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment.  On Thursday around 6:30 am police were called to the 600 block of B Street.

The victim reported parking his work vehicle behind his residence overnight.  When he came out Thursday morning,  the back hatch had been open and several pieces of medical equipment belonging to Bio Electronics was missing.

“Bascially used to calibrate or test hospital grade equipment like MRI’s,” Spilker says.  The victim was unsure how entry was gained into the vehicle and there were no signs of forced entry.

The equipment included a patient simulator, safety simulator, defibrillator tester and pressure meter.   She says the value of the medical equipment is believed to be between $20,000 and $50,000.

Officers processed the scene for evidence and canvassed the area.  This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475
