The next Nebraska Athletic Director is Trev Alberts.
The announcement came on social media media with the official Huskers Twitter account asking fans to “Join us in welcoming back one of our own to the Big Red Family, Trev Alberts, Athletic Director.”

Alberts has been the Director of Athletics at the University of Nebraska-Omaha since 2009. The former Husker linebacker won the Butkus Award in 1993 before being drafted 5th overall in 1994.
