Lincoln Police and Lincoln Fire and Rescue were called to the parking lot of Lincoln Pius X High School at 6000 and A street around 6 a.m. on Saturday for a fire.

When officers and firefighters arrived, they found a trailer owned by Catholic Social Services on fire. The trailer is in an enclosed box style trailer and used to take donations from the public.

An inspector indicated the fire was started by fireworks being thrown inside. This is an arson investigation and there is $5,000 in damage. Officers searched the area and processed the scene for evidence. They are also requesting video from neighbors in the area.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
