A Lincoln man is facing child sexual assault and abuse charges after more victims come forward.
On March 15, 2021, a 17 year old male victim called the DHHS hotline to report he had been sexually abused by his foster parent, identified as 42 year old Graciano Lopez. Investigators interviewed the victim who said he had been assaulted several times over a two year period. Lopez was taken into custody on April 13th and booked for 1st degree sexual assault.
Lopez is the owner of Jolly Bean’s Magic Castle at 2332 North Cotner that sold toys, magic supplies, candy and offered magic shows for parties, singing telegrams and mime shows. He also employed juveniles through a lawn care business.
Investigators worked to determine if there were additional victims and five males between the ages of 11 and 14 stepped forward. Working with the Lancaster County Attorney’s office, Lopez was charged with two counts of 1st degree sexual abuse of a protected person, six counts of 1st degree sexual assault of a child and one count of 3rd degree sexual assault of a child.
Investigators are still working to determine if there are more victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police Investigator Chris Champoux at 402-441-8979.
