The number of people applying for new unemployment claims tumbled last week in Nebraska. There were 978 new claims, 203 fewer than the week before. There were 11 new Pandemic Unemployment Assistance claims, up 7 from the week ending June 12th.
Continued unemployment claims also dropped by 325. There were 6,930 claims filed for the week ending June 19th. Regular Pandemic Unemployment Assistance claims also dropped by 47. There were 2,333 people receiving that continued benefit.
Nebraska paid out $8.1 million in payments for the week ending June 19th.
