Lincoln Police say they continue to investigate the death of 23 year old Carly Schaff after her body was found last Thursday in a wooded area of Pawnee Lake. Schaaf was last seen May 17 and was reported missing be her parents two days later.
Police say the case is being treated as a suspicious death. Acting Lincoln Police Chief Brian Jackson said Monday morning that they are asking the public to come forward if they have any information about the disappearance and death of Carly. He says the lake wasn’t the only place they searched.
“Part of that investigation generated information that led us to look in a number of different locations. That was one, and she was found there.” Jackson says. It’s unclear where that tip came from. Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says they don’t know if Schaff’s body was placed in the wooded area or if she died there.
