Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner on Friday morning said they are still trying to determine the identity of the human remains found yesterday in a wooded area on the southwest side of Pawnee Lake.
Wagner confirms the body was covered up on purpose and they were able to remove the remains in their covered state. Wagner wouldn’t speculate on how the body ended up in that area, which is near the swimming beach and day use area.
Wagner says they still don’t know the age, sex or race of the person. Investigators hope to learn more after an autopsy Friday afternoon. He says anyone with
