Lincoln Man Accused Of Threatening To Shoot Ex-Girlfriend

By Tom Stanton Jun 9, 2021 | 11:37 AM

A Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he threatened his ex-girlfriend with a gun.  LPD Officer Erin Spilker says on May 25th just before 8pm an 18-year-old woman told officers that her ex-boyfriend had showed up at her residence and pointed a gun at her and her current boyfriend.

The victim said that they were getting ready to leave in a vehicle when 20-year-old DeQuint Moody Jr. showed up, pointed a gun and threatened to shoot them.  Moody then left the area as the victim called police.

Investigators also viewed video of the event that corroborated what the victim had reported.  Investigators located Moody on the front porch of a residence in the 2100 block of Clinton just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.   When investigators attempted to take Moody into custody, he resisted officers.

After a struggle, he was taken into custody. Moody was arrested for Terroristic Threats, 2nd Degree Domestic Assault and felony Resisting Arrest for repeated offenses.  Moody was also arrested for an outstanding warrant for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance.
