Nebraska baseball’s third baseman Max Anderson has been named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
The 2021 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Anderson put together one of the top freshman seasons in recent history. He finished second on the team in both average (.332) and hits (61), adding seven home runs and 32 RBIs in 45 games.
The honor is the third consecutive season in which a Husker has been selected as a Freshman All-American, as Colby Gomes (NCBWA, 2019) and Leighton Banjoff (Collegiate Baseball, 2020) were honored the last two years.
