Lincoln Police say no one was hurt after bullets flew in the 2600 block of J Street Tuesday night.  LPD officers responded to a report of a drive-by shooting around 10:15 p.m.

When officers arrived they contacted a 25-year-old man who said a vehicle was driving northbound on South 26th Street when a rear passenger began shooting from the backseat, striking a van parked in the area multiple times.

The total damage was about $800.  Officers found several shell casings in the area and conducted a neighborhood canvass.  Officer Luke Bonkiewicz says the shooting does not appear to be random and that the suspects may be familiar with residents in the area.

The search for the gunman continues.
