Lincoln Police were called to 16th and Prospect around 4:00 Sunday morning on a shots fired call.
Officers spoke with a 38 year old man and a 9 year old girl. The man told police both he and the girl were sleeping inside the home when they heard six or seven gunshots. There were at least a dozen bullet holes found in the wall near where the girl was sleeping. The man said he recently moved into the home and had no idea why anyone would target him.
The investigation continues.
