The Nebraska Department of Labor released the weekly unemployment report for the week ending April 24th.
There were 1,310 new regular claims filed, down 204 compared to the week ending April 17th. New Pandemic Unemployment Assistance claims filed total 12 for the week, up 2 from the week before.
There were 7,963 continued regular unemployment claims filed, down 391 from the week before. Regular pandemic claims totaled 2,579, down 125 fewer compared to the week ending April 17th.
The Department paid out $8.4 million in benefits for the week.
