Lincoln Police made two arrests in crime spree that started around 10:30 p.m. Monday night at 68th and Ridge Point Road.  A caller stated that someone had broken into a house and was still inside.  Officers spoke to the victim who said the back door had been kicked in and he confronted a man standing there.  He took off running.

Just before this call, police had responded to a burglary where the victim heard a loud noise in the residents.  The woman went to investigate to find a man standing on her porch.  He ran away and got into a light colored sedan.  Officers found a screen had been cut and entry was attempted into the home.

At 11 p.m., police were called to the 2000 block of Herel on a theft from a vehicle.  That homeowner provided security video that showed a silver sedan parked in the driveway at the time of the thefts and then leaving the area.

Police responded to several other thefts and vandalisms where vehicle windows were broken throughout the evening with similar descriptions of the person and vehicle involved.  During this time police were called to the 2400 block of Rokeby Road on another burglary where the victim reported he heard a loud noise.  He went to investigate and found a broken window to his basement and his TV was gone.  He also saw a silver vehicle driving away.

Minutes later, officers were called to the 3200 block of Morrill when a woman saw a man on her security system trying to force his way though a sliding glass door.  The suspect had rang her doorbell prior to trying to break in.  An officer saw the suspect’s vehicle leaving the area and did a traffic stop near S 31st and Rokeby Road.  Inside the back seat was a TV that was later identified as the one taken from a home on Rokeby Road.

The driver, 20 year old Kelly Huynh and passenger, 19 year old Terrell Davis were taken into custody.  Officers noted that Davis matched the description provided by several victims.  Officers also searched the vehicle and they found  20 Alprazolam pills in the center console without appropriate prescription or identification.

Ultimately, Davis and Huynh were arrested for one count of Burglary, three counts of Attempted Burglary, four counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking, four counts of Criminal Mischief, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
